Who We Are
Lions Club International, is an international non-political service organization established originally in 1916 in Chicago, Illinois, by Melvin Jones. It is the largest service organization in the world and is now headquartered in Oak Brook, Illinois. As of 2020, we had over 46,000 clubs and more than 1.4 million members (including the youth wing Leo) in more than 200 countries and geographic areas around the world. Our local club in St. Louis is usually referred to as the SouthSide Lions, and we were established in 1924 with a mission to serve the blind and less fortunate of our area. The motto of our club and of all Lions Clubs is WE SERVE
Charitable Donations are appreciated to help keep our services up and running for the people that we help.
